To promote and propagate plastic free environment
the Members of IWC Gtk ORCHID visited Deorali Govt Girls School to demonstrate how to create Eco Bricks from throwaway plastic bottles.
Aim of the Project was to save Mother Earth and our environment from the impact of single use plastics waste and the throwaway plastic wrappers.
Chairperson Monika Agarwal explained with physical demonstration by Secy Mayuri and Treasurer Monisha how to fill up the drinking water, soft drinks and other plastic bottles with Chips,chocolate, wrappers of products used in daily life. They were also explained how these tightly stuffed bottles can be put together to make stools, benches etc in the play area of the school grounds or their homes.
Sunita one of the teacher of the school also explained and encouraged students to join in the campaign to prevent the mother earth from global danger.
School authorities gave assurance to teach the same to all the other clases too and give full support to clubs project wealth from waste.
Club also announced encouragement gift to the student who collects and makes the maximum eco bricks.
The teachers were also appraised on the various social activities undertaken by the club in and around Gangtok, by Treasurer Monisha.
