Project Report: – Motivation refers to the driving force that helps you achieve your goals and fulfill
your needs. It is crucial to break old habits and develop healthy ones. Motivation also plays a
significant role in a student’s life, as it empowers them to meet the learning objectives of their
course. Recently, IWC Siliguri organized a student orientation and motivational program for students
from class V to X at Hardy Ramanujan Public School in Matigara Siliguri. The program aimed to instill
good study habits and behavioral approaches in students. Our Senior Member & Past President,
Sonia Prasad, took the initiative and arranged the program at Hardy Ramanujan Public School, which
is affiliated with CBSE. The motivational session was conducted by our club Editor, Anghrija Basu
Bhattacharya, who is a certified life coach. The orientation program helped students understand the
academic programs, plan their coursework, and stay on track. The two-hour sessions covered various
topics related to good study habits, the importance of discipline in life, how to memorize long
answers, why not to bully, how to overcome bullying, and many other life skills. Around 55 students
participated in the program, and they were given some readable items, along with stationery kits and
chocolates.
