SEENAGER QUEEN 2024, a first-of-its-kind event in North Bengal for women aged 45 and above, was organized by Ragini Goyal of RG Brand and Malvika Bayanwala in association with Inner Wheel Club of Siliguri and Lions Clubs of Empowerment. This fundraising event
featured women from three age categories: Group A (45 to 55), Group B (55 to 65), and Group C (65 and above), with a total of 50 participants, including 10 members from our club.
The event aimed to celebrate the hidden talents of senior women, empower them by providing a platform to showcase their personal growth, skills, and life experiences, and help them adopt a respectful perception of aging. Our club’s ISO, Debolina Dasgupta Banerjee, won the title in Group A, while Sukhdeep Choudhary won in Group B and Renu Nangia in Group C. Before the grand finale on May 26th at Hotel Grand Casa, Matigara, Siliguri, various grooming sessions were conducted to boost the contestants’ confidence. These sessions included a cookery workshop, professional makeup and hairdo sessions, skin care and dermatology consultations from renowned salons and clinics, and grooming and training sessions led by leading fashion design houses to refine the participants’ poise, walk, and presentation skills. Neerja Singh was the brand ambassador of Seenager Queen 2024, and Bollywood singer Ila Arun was the chief guest. Other jury members included Smita Roy Chowdhury, Bridgette Jones, Nandita Puri, Sangeeta Reddy, and Dr. Smita Ghosh. Many eminent dignitaries from different clubs and organizations were present to grace the occasion. It was a hugely successful grand event where our Seenager members participated wholeheartedly and experienced cherishable memories that will last a lifetime.
