Study Camp for visually Challenged boys and girls in collaboration with Gorumara Wild Life Division
at Murti, Gorumara National Park, Jalpaiguri from 16th to 19th February, 2024. Nearly 52 visually
challenged children from less privileged sections of society participated along with their escorts. The
camp was inaugurated by Padmashree Parvati Barua, the queen of elephants. Padmashree Karimul
Hak and other dignitaries were present there. During these three days, children were taken to
Pinakha, Dhupjhora elephant camp, jungle trek, and nature walk. They participated in singing,
dancing skits, and other game activities. These three days gave them immense pleasure and learning
which helped them to boost self-confidence.
