All the seven clubs of Siliguri Innerwheels: today assembled together at Rotary Hall and raised slogans against spitting in public in association and support with Sare Jahan Se Accha team Priti n Raja.
India Book of Records have registered their all India Spit Free Movement Drive for having covered maximum kms on road to spread awareness about public health and hygiene. So far they have covered 24 states and 7 UT.
A rally with pla cards in different regional languages was also taken out to make the public aware of the hazards of spitting and littering in public places!
To make public and members aware of keeping their city clean, we distributed more then 100 trash bags with Innerwheel logo to members and cars passing by. We were fortunate to have our District Chairman Mrs Geeta Sarin all the way from Shillong to grace the ceremony as Chief Guest. The entire event was covered by our media partner Khabar Aaj kal.
