The world celebrates International Women’s Day on 8th March every year. It aims to highlight the achievements made by women throughout the year. This year the theme of Inner Wheel is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
We at Inner Wheel Club of Siliguri Uttorayon are committed towards the upliftment of women and making them self reliant. We are a club with a strength of over a hundred women members and we work together towards achieving this goal.
In our endeavour to do so, we organised an Exhibition – Urban Haat, which showcased the entrepreneurship and enterprise of women. The Chief Guest was Mrs. Amita Mundra, District Chairman IW District 324 along with our Guest of Honour
Mrs.Sulochana Mansi. Both are outstanding women working wholeheartedly towards women empowerment.
The event was held for 2 days were 44 exhibitors from different states of India participated.An exhibition promoting women entrepreneurs.
It’s commendable the way all our members worked together as a cohesive unit to make this event a grand success.
