An awareness seminar was organised in Sacred Heart School with the motto “GO GREEN,BLEED GREEN” to educate the girl students about the use of sustainable mestrual products.Dr.Monika Agarwal(renowned gynaecologist) and an IW Savvy member spoke about Menstrual heigene and guided the students about different forms of Menstrual products.The students showed keen interest and were quite excited to know about it.President Alka Mitruka threw light on the conventional as well as new eco-friendly forms of menstrual products including cloth pads,leakproof panties and MENSTRUAL CUPS which are reusable,safe and pocket friendly.There were more than 100 girl students along with some lady teachers.We will be organising more of this seminars in other schools of this region.
