Installing a Breast Feeding Kiosk at the OPD Area

IWC Silchar took a admirable step by installing a breast feeding kiosk at the OPD area of S.K. Roy Civil hospital in Silchar town today. The main purpose of this breast feeding kiosk is to provide a comfortable and private space for the breast feeding mothers that come for treatment to the hospital. Now they can avoid any kind of embarrassment while feeding their babies. As the kiosk is installed at the entry point of the hospital, it is visible to all the visitors out there. IWC Silchar is thankful to the Indian academy of pediatrics, Assam state branch for their support in partly sponsoring the project The breast feeding kiosk was officially inaugurated by the Superintendent of Civil hospital Dr Arun Debnath and President of IAP Assam state branch Dr Sitangshu Dam. The Vice chairman of IW district 324 Mrs Anindita Dey and other members of IWC Silchar were present in the inauguration ceremony today.
