Vertical- Empower Girl Enrich Nation
There is a huge shortage of professional and skilled workforce in health care services. Inner Wheel Club of Siliguri Uttorayon has come up with a unique Empowerment support for 9 girls from our Adopted village. Under this program nine young girls, primarily high school graduates, were selected from economically weaker sections for short-term skill training on eye care services at The Himalayan Eye Institute. The Club has provided scholarship to educate and engage these girls through the skill training. This
program shall not only empower the girls for employment but also help in strengthening the local health care services.We are elated to share that after the training was over all 9 students have been given job in Himalayan Eye Institute.
# Paid training expense for 9 girls-Rs 9000 each student for 6 months.
