School picnics provide a great opportunity for children to create wonderful experiences and
have a positive impact on their overall development. With the arrival of winter, many
leading schools organize annual picnics for their students, as it provides a holistic
education. Participation in school picnics helps children develop habits of sharing,
teamwork, and social interaction. Unfortunately, less privileged children often miss out on
these opportunities. That’s why IWC Siliguri is working tirelessly to provide quality
education to underprivileged and special-needs children. Recently, our club arranged a
picnic for the students of Adarsh Mahavidyalay School at Dreamland Amusement Park.
Nearly 200 students, teachers, and non-teaching staff participated, with most of them being
less privileged. Our past president and senior member, Premlata Bihani, sponsored the
entire event. The children were served breakfast and lunch and enjoyed various joy rides
and fun activities. This event helped bridge the gap in our society and provided an
unforgettable experience for the less privileged children.
