Under the S (Stree Shakti)vertical of SHEROES, the members of IWC Silchar today took an initiative to help out about 5 women of the Manipuri community to be independent by engaging them in a training program for making chapals at a cottage industry run by the SHG (Self Help Group) .The beneficiaries were women aged between 24-47.Also the members took up a program of H vertical of SHEROES to make the women aware of menstrual hygiene and handed out sanitary napkins and handwash to all those present. The members also gave edible items like cakes, biscuits and chips to all the ladies who were present there.
